The Healthspan Memo earns money through affiliate links. This page explains exactly how that works, because you should know who pays for what you read.

Some of our links to products are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we earn a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way. Nothing on this site costs you money, and we never take payment from readers.

Brands, not readers. We use affiliate programs where the brand funds the commission, including Amazon-based programs run through Levanta. When you click one of our links and buy the product, the brand pays us a percentage of that sale.

Every affiliate link is labeled where it appears. On X you will see #ad and the words “aff link” in the post itself, above the link, not buried at the end of a thread. On this site, affiliate links are disclosed on the page that contains them. If a link is not labeled, it is not an affiliate link and we earn nothing from it.

This is the part that matters most, so here it is in full.

A brand cannot pay to appear in a brief.

A brand cannot influence how we describe a study.

A brand cannot have a product removed because we rated it poorly.

We hold no exclusivity agreement with any supplement company.

We choose topics from the research first and products second. When a topic has no product worth recommending, we publish it with no product at all.
